  Nex timte?! That would not be acceptable to me. I have my next appt Monday and if they don't offer to find the heartbeat, I will request it. I've been way too anxious and high strung not to hear it and get some peace of mind that everything is okay.

  While I love this board and all the craziness attached to it- it can sometimes send me into a spiral of panic because I see soo many of us lose our babies. Too many women have so tragically lost their babies recently that are at the same stage I am.

  I would call my Dr back and tell them that I am panicky and anxious and stressed and that I NEED to hear that heart beating.

  side note: I so did not mean to make this post seem so depressing. Jeez. A little debbie downer today- sorry.

  I got to see the heartbeat with an U/S last week, 167 beats, when they checked to find a due date but we couldn't hear the heart b/c the baby is so small. I'm not worried yet. HAHA! I know next time that they should find it with no problems. My 1st pregnancy I had my 1st apt to verify I was pg at 5 weeks and my 2nd at 12 weeks and that is when I heard the HB. This time I was just hoping to hear it sooner since this was my 2nd appointment with the OB. Hearing the HB is so amazing! It is what kept me patient and calm during labor last time! It was the only way I could get some rest while she made her way thru the birth canal.
