Crest Whitestrips safe during pregnancy?

Hello ladies,

Just wondering what you know about this? I've asked my OB but since they don't sell them here in Australia he couldn't give me a firm answer. I have been using them about once a year.. we used to live in the US so I'm hooked.

Should I wait till after baby is born? Are they safe during breastfeeding?

I thought no whitening products during pregnancy (thats what I have heard and read) I havent asked my OB though. But should be fine during breastfeeding.

I won't do it. I have used plain old baking soda along with my regular toothpaste to help keep my teeth really white. I don't do it every day, maybe about once a week or so and it has really made a difference. I have wanted to whiten but won't chance it.

I definitely wouldn't do it. Why take a chance of putting those chemicals into your body while you are pregnant? Also, it would make me puke for sure since I still deal with nausea from time to time.

I work at a dental office and mentioned whitening to the dentist I work for. He said he wouldn't chance it and it's best to wait until after baby arrives. Pre-pregnancy I would use the strips about every few months or so just for touch ups. I have white teeth to begin with but I love how much whiter the stripes make my teeth. I can't wait to use them again.
