I am always telling people to get on this site and start tracking their food and they would be shocked by how much weight they would lose. Just last week alone I lost three pounds....no exercise! Can't wait til all of the weight is gone!
I would like to try this but how can I figure in BFing? It's recommending I only take in 1400 calories/day
I have mine set kind of weird but it works for me. I have it set to 1,200 calories. But then I try to eat 1,700-1,800 calories a day. I made up an "exercise" of breastfeeding. I have heard you burn about 500 calories a day so I divided that by the amount of times I BF (8). That is about 63 calories. So for each time I BF, I consider that "1 min" of exercise and for every minute it will add 63 calories. At the end of the day when I fill in the exercise I did for the day, I put in 8 minutes of exercise and it will say 500 calories were burned.
I just eyeball the calories and make sure I go about 500-600 over my 1,200. But you can also go in and change your calorie daily limit by taking the 1,400 and adding 500 to that and trying to hit that limit. Then if you hit 1,900 for the day and lose 500 breastfeeding, then that would put you at 1,400.
