My husband and I LOVE the name and since we found out it was a boy we have been struggling with it being a strong name for an adult...we both think it is but need some honest advise, our last name is McCloud so i think the name really flows and is really cute! thoughts please!
Re: what do you honestly think of the name Milo?
Do you think of a grown man when you say cute? Those are the kind of things I've been thinking of when I like a name. For me, if I think *cute* I probably don't see it as a very strong adult name. But what does it do for you?

I don't like it.
I like Miles though and Milo could be a NN if you must.
This. But I think Max and Jack and Jake sound like dogs' names too, and plenty of people have those names.

Honestly? Not a fan. I think it's adorable for a little boy, but not a man. I'd have trouble making out with a man named Milo. ;-)
I also think of Milo and Otis.
YES! I thought of him too. He is a handsome man too! I say go for it!
I don't mind the name at all - it's different without being weird. And I think the man makes the name, not the other way around. If you both love it, then please use it!
That is a great idea!
Baby BOY is due May 23, 2014!
This.
ummm honestly, Milo McCloud sounds like a cartoon character or a character in a kid's book. As a teacher, I actually think it would make a super cute name for a kid in a book similar to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Sorry, just being honest!
My nephew's name is Milo. In our family (who happens to be pug-lovers) we totally got over the Milo and Otis thing really fast once he was born. I personally think it is a pretty cool name. Different, easy to remember and I really like it with your last name.
Good Luck!
I agree its very cute, but not necessarily a strong name as an adult male. I too think of Milo and Otis. As an alternative I do agree with the person that mentioned Miles-it feels stronger to me but just as cute for a LO. We have a friend that named their son Milo and admittedly we knew we were not personally into that name.
That being said, this is your child. If you and your husband like the name you should do it. Everyone will have an opinion on whatever name you choose so I say if you both like it-go for it!

Lost my dear husband, October 3, 2012. You are the bear of my heart dear, and nothing can take that away.
I don't think of the dog or cat when I hear it because I never saw the movie, it actually makes me think of a surfer. I like the name, but this is coming from the person who won't use Rose for a middle name if it's a girl because we like the first name Emily and ALL I can think about is the exorcism of Emily Rose.
So I guess what I'm saying is, if Milo is a good name to you, that's all that counts.
My thoughts exactly but kiwi said it very well.

I think of the animated movie Atlantis. I like it-but agree it might be too cute for an adult. What do you think of the name Miro?
