We're using pre-folds with Thristies covers for the NB stage. From reading the FAQs and other posts, it looks like I'll probably need to use doublers at night? I have a couple of questions about that please.
1.) I have some microfiber "stay-dry" Flip inserts that we'll be using once LO is bigger, can I use those as a doubler in the NB stage?
2.) If I can't use the Flip insert as a doubler, what brand of doubler do you recommend? We don't want to switch to wool covers, as we already have the thristies, so I'm just looking for a double recommendation.
3.) When you use doublers/microfiber, does that go between the PF and the cover, or between the baby and the PF? Thanks!
Re: Doublers for overnight?
1. Yes you can use that as a doubler. I wrap my microfiber inserts inside of a prefold and then put it in the cover.
2. At night, I use a layer system in a pocket dipe, but you could also do it in a cover- fleece insert, microfiber insert, and then a hemp insert. ( my little guy pees a lot)
3. I don't put microfiber next to my baby... put it in between prefold and cover.
HTH!
