Anyone else tired all the time still?

I am so tired all the time. I thought that by now I would be getting some energy back but I have yet to feel that way. I work second shift from 3p-11p so I get home around 1130 and am in bed by midnight. I haven't been waking up in the morning until almost 10am and by noon I am feeling like I need a nap. I constantly am yawning at work and always feel tired. This is getting old. I am getting nothing done around the house and don't know what to do.

Re: Anyone else tired all the time still?

  • I know how you feel, I'm still in the exhausted all the time period. I asked the doc about it last week and she said that some women just don't get out of it... which sucks. I have no cure, but hopefully it gets going better for you. Good luck!

  • YES!!  I try to be in bed before 9pm every night, and when DD gets up bright and early at 5:15 won't go to Daddy, only mommy, I am not always thrilled.  But she will come into our bed and sleep/rest for a half hour or so, which helps... a little.  I am falling asleep at my desk right now though.

  • YES. I have come to terms with the fact that my energy will never come back. I still can't make it past 8 or 8:30pm. I used to go to bed at 11:30pm pre-pregnancy and still wake up at the same time.

  • YES!  I got some energy back at the beginning of the second tri, but it's gone.  I literally have to talk myself into doing anything but going home to take a bath and going to bed.  I'm only productive for a few hours in the morning.

  • Yes still all the time.
  • I wouldn't say all the time, but I do tire out easily. So if I spend all day doing housework I completely collapse. Saturday night I knew I wanted to see some friends so I  made sure I didn't do too much during the day.

  • I thought I was so lucky since I wasn't any more tired than usual (compared to not being pregnant) during my first trimester.  I've been a little more tired lately, I think it has to do with the fact that I can't exercise anymore (dr's orders).  I definite tire out more quickly too.  Simple household tasks leave me feeling wiped out, I recover fairly quickly, but I just can't believe I was worn out in the first place.

  • Me! I could sleep 14 hours a night but I have gestational diabetes so the longest I am supposed to sleep is 10 hrs straight it's killing me. I used to be able to go off 6-8 hours no problem. Growing people is hard
