Yeah, it's pretty popular where I live. I think it's a nice name, but I can't help but think about Luke Perry's 90210 character every time I hear it. If it weren't for that, it probably would have been on my list of boys names!

Ugh I know but hopefully we are passed that now and only the mommies will remember the 90210 reference. I actually work with someone who has teenagers named Dillon and Kelly! Just don't want DS to be one of 10 Dylan's in school. Thanks for the feedback.
I know a few Dylans that are all at least three or four years old, up to 6 or 7. I don't know of any babies recently born or due soon that have the name Dylan.
Yes! I worked at an after school child care program for 5 years and the last 2 years have had my own daycare and I have met at least 6 Dylans/Dillons easy! Maybe more...
About 10 years ago it picked up in popularity around here. Every other kid had that or Hunter as a name. Not so much now. I actually love this name but because of personal reasons we cant have it on our list.
My cousin's son is Dylan and my friend's DH is Dillon. Other than that I don't know any. It's a nice name and not overly popular. If you like it, use it.
Re: Is Dylan (boy) a popular name near you?
According to the SSA website, Dylan is #39 in the state of Alabama for 2010. That being said, IRL I don't know of one little boy named Dylan...
lol that's my point - there was a Dylan explosion around that time because of 90210!

Just off the top of my head, I know of 6 all under the age of 8, if I really think about it I'm sure I could come up with more.
It's not on my area's top 25 list. I don't know it's exact standing though.
Personally, I don't know a single Dylan, and I never have based on my memory. I'd say it popular in mind, but not reality.
