Endocrinologist Recommendations Needed

Good Morning!  I am new to your board and I wanted to say hello.  I also need some advice.

My DH and I will be moving to the Raleigh area at the end of the month.  I already have a recommendation for a OB but I also need a new endocrinologist.  I have an underactive thyroid and my current doctor has been great about monitoring all of my levels.  It took me and my DH a long time to find a doctor that we were comfortable with and I am really concerned we won?t find someone as competent.  I hope one of you ladies will be able to help with a recommendation or at least point me in a direction that might help.

TIA

  • I've seen Dr. Stall with Raleigh Endocrine Associates. I like the practice a lot. They have a lab on site to do bloodwork. Dr. Stall is pretty laid back, which I like but I could see some people disliking that.

  • My only recommendation is to stay AWAY from Duke endocrinology. I had awful experiences with them.

  • I also go to Raleigh Endocrine Associates on Blue Ridge Rd in Raleigh. I see Dr. Burlin and absolutly love him. My thyroid went a little nuts when I became pregnant and he was right on top of it. My baby was born last week and is healthy. The wait times can be a little annoying, as with any specialist, but he will take all the time you want when it's your turn.
