Just joined this community as I was 8 days late so decided to take a home pregnancy test and it came out positive! Well actually I took 3 home pregnancy test just because I couldn't believe the results of the first and all came up positive so I'm pretty sure that's a good sign!
Really nervous as this will be our first child and I'm over 35 now. We've been trying for a few months now to conceive so this is really exciting for us both...I actually don't think it's quite set in yet for the both of us.
Guess it's time to find a OB and set up an appointment.
Looking forward to getting to know and chatting with you all on here.

Yep, me too. I still can't quite believe it!
Congrats and welcome!
Thanks and Congrats to you all!!! hehe. I took 2 more test this morning just to solidify the results again!
If I did the math right (ie. 40 weeks from the first day of my last period) that would make the due date my birthday, Oct 12th, actually. Which would be hilarious but I'm not banking on that date of course.
We'll see what the OB says.....
Having a hard time trying to figure out what OB to choose now. Thankfully I have a friend whose pregnant a few blocks away from me and hopefully she loves her and they're local (fingers crossed)!
First let me say congrats and welcome aboard!! Second, I know exactly what you mean. I also did 3 tests because I couldn't believe it. There are days I still don't believe that I am having a baby in May. It seems so surreal; and I am 26w5d. Best of luck to you during your journey. Look forward to seeing ya around the bump!!

Congrats!
This is our first too and I'm 35, so I know what everyone means about it being surreal. I also took 3 tests and am fighting the urge to take more just to make sure there's still a baby in there!
Congrats!!
I did at least 5 home tests with this one and then I even went down to medical at work and had the nurses there test me - I just couldn't believe we were so lucky to be having another one.
It can be very surreal!
