Happy Valentine's Day lovebirds!
Hope everyone has a lovely day!
Anyone get anything nice from their lover?
I am so not a Valentine's Day person, but happy Evan and DH decided to celebrate. I got home from work last night and the first thing Evan said when I walked in was "mom we made you Valentine and flowers!" DH just shook his head and said "well, I guess we can give you your gift early" They made me a huge card out of a piece of posterboard, Evan picked out flowers and DH bought me 4 pieces of sponge candy (I told him no chocolate, but he said he just bought a few pieces so I could have a small treat)
I am looking forward to a day off, by myself! Evan typically stays home from DC on my day off during the week, but since they are having a party at school I decided to take him for a half day. I'm going to head to the gym, run to the mall and then meet my bff for a lunch date.

We don't really do Valentine's Day, but I did get Ian a little gift that I'll give him later.

My DH is not normally very romantic, he saves it all for anniversaries and Valentine's Day when he feels he should pull out all the stops. We're broke though, so we agreed nothing over $10. I came downstairs this morning to the hugest card I've ever seen, and on the front he'd written "a lot of card with a lot of love," then I have no idea where he got the heart template, but he traced 4 hearts and wrote his name inside the first, then the cat's names inside the next two, and then he wrote "coming soon" over the last heart with the name "booboo." He's a keeper.
