I'm at "a loose 1" cm dilated and 80% effaced.

My cervix is 80 % thinnned and I'm as closed up as a nun's Vijayjay .. not much hapening down there despite LO's attempts to punch the plug out lately lol

She said I'm super soft and she could fit just about a 1/2 finger tip in but didn't wanna force cervix still posteior.

She was very happy with the super soft cervix. It's a start anyways

As of a week ago, I was completely closed up and know nothing of effacement. I won't have another internal until I'm in labor. It may have since changed, but who knows.

She could feel her head, which was good news I guess.

As of Friday I was "soft" not effaced and not dialated. The midwife was happy with that. She said "that's good, you're only 36 weeks" I was hoping for more. Next internal is at 40 weeks so I hope there is more change before that!

At 35 weeks I was nearly 1 cm. Thinning and baby was low. He could feel the head! Eeek! Get my next one on Fri. I get checked each week with internals from now on apparently. Doesn't really bother me, I like to know how my body is progressing. I find it interesting too, knowing full well it prob. means nothing lol

I've been soft since 27 wks and baby has been in position and low-dr felt her head at 32 wks. I think I get my next intern thurs and really anxious to know so I can put the canosh on hub yravelibg

As of last week at 37 weeks - I was closed but "soft" - so in other words no real progress.

Last week I was almost 2cm, 50% effaced and he was in the minus 2 position! My doc said he is "riding low". She said she was really happy with my progress but that it's totally normal to walk around like this for a while, so we will see!

Doc said today that her head is very low, cervix is very soft, 50% effaced and no dilation.

Today I was "soft", 50% effaced, no dialation, and a -1, whatever that means. He said it's good and that I'm right on track for a first time mom.

I didn't have a check at my last appt, my Ob did check when she did the GBS test around 36 and yeah, as I suspected nada was going on except to say he was head-down and she could feel that. I'll get an internal at this Friday's exam but I am not expecting to hear anything other than "you'll be here for a while" oh joy *eyeroll*

Friday I was 3cm dilated and 50% thinned. I know baby can stay like this for awhile, in fact my mom was like this for 6 weeks, but hey it is progress.

Yesterday I was 2cm, 50% effaced and the head was "in the pelvis." I've been having intermittent strong, but not painful, contractions for a few weeks. I go in this morning to start the induction process so no telling how long that would have gone on naturally.

I got "cervix is long and baby is still riding high" at my visit yesterday. I beg to differ on the "riding high" part as I know this baby has dropped in the past few days.

As of last Wednesday, 2.5 cm dilated, 70% effaced and soft. Today I have another appointment, and I'm expecting to be around 3.5-4 cm. That's roughly the paced I moved at with my son... a cm a week.

My last appt was at 36 weeks. I was 50% effaced and a fingertip dilated. I go in and get checked on Thursday to see if there's been any more progress.

Like PPs have stated, I know it doesn't mean anything in terms of when baby is born. But it IS exciting to know that my body is doing something and getting prepared for baby evacuation. We're getting closer! So exciting.

Had my first "official" yesterday...and NADA. He did say the baby was head down, but that's it. We did discuss an induction date and have decided on March 7. I'm just hoping I have made some progress by then!!

Last time I was checked (33 weeks) I was 50% effaced, not dilated.

Think I lost at least part of my MP today, will know for sure tomorrow after my appointment.

At my last Friday appt (36 weeks) I was 2 cm dilated and cervix was very thin. My OB also said that my LO was at about -1 station. She doesn't think I'll make it to my March 5 EDD!!! Big Smile

At 36 weeks (last week) was a tight 2cm, 60% and stage 2. I have been having contractions for almost 2 weeks. At 35 weeks 6days i went into labor and they slowed the contractions enough to send me home. But that drama is another story. It still upsets me grrrr.

At 35 weeks 4 days I was 1cm and 50% effaced with baby head down. Now I am 2-3 cm and more thinned out at 37 weeks 5 days. I definitely lost a big part of my mucus plug last night. I don't think it will be too long from now.
