Is this common?

I've been having left thigh numbness when I'm standing/walking (like grocery shopping) off an on for a week or two. It resolves with sitting. It's only on the front of the thigh, and there's no pain at all. I feel like I read a post once where someone else was experiencing this but don't see it now.

Anyone else have experience with this? It's far to early for me to stop doing things like grocery shop! TIA.

Re: Is this common?

  • when i was pregnant with my DD later on in the pregnancy my inner thigh would like freeze and feel numb and i would have to stop dead in my tracks bc i couldn't walk until that feeling went away....not sure if that sounds similar but i had that my first time around ...but i was prob closer to 30 weeks or so!!

  • Good question - I was just experiencing this!  I did some major grocery shopping yesterday and woke up to pee last night to almost not being able to walk on my left leg!  This morning it feels better....but just from grocery shopping (and I took advantage of curbside pickup and my husband brought all groceries into the house) I feel like I got a major workout....bleh!

  • I had this throughout my pregnancy because as the babies got bigger one was laying right on a major blood vessel and nerves.  In the last month of being pregnant, my right leg became numb and swollen down to my toes.  My toes would turn purple and my foot would swell to 3 times normal size if I was standing for more then 5 minutes.  It got so bad that my OB decided to do my c-section at 36 wks 4 days.  Now of course I think my case was a little extreme and out of the ordinary, hopefully this does not happen to you.  GL!!

  • Thanks for sharing your experiences! Hopefully the OB will have some suggestions on how to help it when I see her.
