Gassy baby :(

She is so bloated, poor thing. She is crying, I'm crying, the neighbors are probably crying. I literally just cheered for a little toot! I think I'm not going to get much sleep tonight. I was researching reasons why and we fit in every category. I'm hoping feeding from one side and me not eating dairy will help.her latch stinks but I can't do much about that.

    just want to commiserate!  i ate dairy yesterday for the first time in a week, and neither of us got much sleep last night :(  gas drops help some and we'll be trying grippe water as soon as we can get some!

     

    interesting note: you can't od on gas drops.  our ped recommended using way more than on the bottle (two droppers full vs .3 ml), which you might want to ask your ped about if the gas drops don't work for you.

    We have been using gripe water as well and it works great. Also, holding her in the "football hold" with her stomach on your forearm and face on your hand might help. We also do the "bicycle" with her legs. Poor babies, life is tough when you are new.

    I'm sorry. I hope cutting dairy works.  Have you considered using gas drops or gripe water? I started DS on gas drops yesterday and seems to be working for him.

    Ditto the gas drops. Also when you are feeding her make sure that her head and chest are higher than her bum and feet. Its supposed to help them swallow less air and make sure that the bubbles stay at the top of their stomach so its easier to burp up.
