Did you pack your hospital bag differently for your c-section then you would have if you would have had a natural birth? This might be kind of an odd question. I am set to be induced and since my chance for a c-section (according to my doctor) goes up to 40%, I want to be prepared for anything. Is there anything other then the normal stuff that you brought to the hospital with you? TIA!

Re: What did you take to the hospital? (scheduled c-section)
First, don't give up hope on a vaginal birth! LOTS of women labor and deliver babies vaginally with no issues after an induction. If a v-delivery is what you really want, keep your eye on the prize.
And no, I don't think you need to pack anything differently. I did not plan for a c/s and I had everything I needed. If I can give any suggestions to c/s moms, it's to have a very loose-fitting pair of wide-waistband yoga pants for wearing around the hospital and for when you go home.
GL!
This all the way. Most important - pack magazines etc for a longer stay... My hospital said they give you a gown, robe and slippers for the entire stay and I am leaning towards using those just in case I get them dirty (bloody etc) so I don't have to mess up my own stuff, but I am bringing my own items anyway in case I want to feel more like myself or if the hospital stuff drives me nuts.
Since I went into labor on my own, I wasn't planning on a c-section but ended up with one anyway. Here are the items I actually used out of my bag:
PJs & warm socks
Clothes for baby
Boppy pillow (this was a great help with nursing in the hospital)
Nursing bra
Pillow from home (comfier than the hospital pillows)
Shampoo/conditioner, a hair brush, and stuff to tie my hair back
Camera & laptop for loading photos and sharing them with friends/family
That's really about it. I brought more stuff than that, like a going home outfit, but the pants wouldn't have been comfortable with my c-section scar so I wore my jammies home. You may also want an iPod or CD player if you plan to listen to music while you're there.
I took my droid phone....whew that thing saved me from eternal boredom!!! I was able to take picture of my lo and post them to fb....talk to people on fb, get movies from netflix. Oh man I lovvvveddd it.
As much as I didn't want to wear a nightgown, I highly recommend a nightgown and not pants.
General toiletries. Ohhhh here's a good one....snacks! My food at the hospital was really good but sometimes you just want to snack....and you won't really want to eat the first two days but after time your appetite will come back and snacks are good. I didn't remember snacks but my brother in law brought them to me and I was oh so greatful.
Good luck! It is a wonderful experience!!!!!
The only thing I don't see mentioned above is to make sure whatever underwear you bring to wear (in the hospital if you don't want to use their) and for on the way home ride very high (granny panties) so they want sit on you incision.
From the lists I see all on this site most of them are good you just don't need some of the stuff since you won't be going through the labor part. Plus you will be there probably one extra day depending I was in 2.5 days with both of mine, so if you are wearing your clothes and not the hospitals you may need an extra outfit.
