Funky feeling with BH?

I have been having lots of BH for awhile now, but they are definitely getting a bit stronger (and maybe less frequent). One things that has been happening more and more lately is a really interesting feeling when I have a contraction. My face feels a bit flushed, like maybe my blood pressure goes up temporarily. I also feel almost like a little endorphin rush - it actually feels kind of good (as strange as that sounds). Maybe like I had a glass of wine or something. Maybe I'm just a weirdo, but anyone else have this? I'm guessing this in no way correlates to how I'll feel during true labor!

    That is exactly the feeling I have had with my BH the past few days.  Very strange. My DD was delivered "face up" so all my labor was in my back.  I never had BH with her prior to real labor, so I'm not sure exactly what they should be like.  I was trying to explain this to my DH about the face being flushed...also I get a feeling in my upper teeth (like a sinus pressure also) with the flushed face feeling.  You explained exactly what I've been experiencing!

    I have always had this with my BH. Its just a slight energy serge and tummy flip like when you fast over a hill in your car! I guess its just an adrenaline rush but enough to make BH slightly enjoyable! We will see how long that lasts once active labor starts!

    I've been having that feeling too, but from pretty early on (16 weeks-ish?).  It's a head rush... I tried to describe it to DH like there was a balloon filling up inside of me very quickly and everything was being pushed into my head, and then the feeling passes.  It's so odd!  I never had it with DD#1.  I wonder what causes it?
