Do you mind telling me how you made V's 2nd bday shirt? I just realized my child has a birthday in a week (hello, denial) and I don't have time to order something from etsy.
Hey! It was pretty simple, just a little slow. Probably because of the TV watching I was doing. I bought a plain shirt and cute fabric. Printed off a big '2' in a bold font, then traced that onto fabric. Cut the fabric out and applied that stuff you use to iron on (I asked at JoAnn Fabrics and they knew what to give me). Then I just used brown embroidery thread to sew it on. I figured it would be easier to get it on straight with the stitches if I did the iron on first.
HTH! I certainly saved money - I paid $$ for V's big sis shirt off etsy and though I love it, when I saw it I was totally like "I could've done this". I think all in all it cost me about $10.
ETA: happy birthday to your LO!
