I Hate My House Vent

So we're having yet another problem with the pipes in our house. Apparently, the pressure was too high for our furnace to handle and the emergency valve went off shutting everything down and resulting in a loss of heat. This was at 5AM yesterday. We had to spend the day and night at my parents house since Mother Nature finally decided to send winter our way.

Let me just say, packing up to spend the night somewhere with an almost 6 week old baby is ridiculous. Bottles, formula, clothes, bibs, sleep sack, socks, diapers, wipes, bottle warmer, pack and play, pacifiers, blanket, and on and on and on. It took us close to an hour to get out of the house. I don't know how people with more than one kid manage to get anywhere.  

So now I'm sitting here in a coat and scarf while the plumber does his thing. This is the fourth time in 4 months that we've had a plumbing-related issue with this house. We're going to end up putting this guys kids through college.

Blah.

    I sympathize completely! Our furnace has a mind of its own and does not always wish to cooperate on cold days! I am so sorry you are going through that and I am about to know how going away over night with a 6 week old feels we are going to see a grandparent this weekend!
