  Have you been throwing up or straining to have BM's?  That could explain the petechia if you have.

  I have petechia all over my face from retching.  Other than mucking up my complexion, they don't hurt and don't hurt me.  Your doctor is following up with a platelet count just to be on the safe side.  You can always call the nurse at your OB's office and have him/her explain petechia if you are worried.

  thanks ladies. the "hickey" on my neck faded almost completely overnight. the 6 on my face have stayed tho. could be from straining during BM's, could also be because i threw up alot a couple weeks ago and they still havent gone away. its still so worrysome when something appears that isnt a "typical" pregnancy symptom!

  I get little pin-sized red dots when I get a heat rash - which is strangely often. I get them on my breasts when they're particularly itchy. I've had them on my arms, too. I had some on my eye lids after days when I was particularly sick.

  They usually go away within a couple of days. Nothing I'd fret about.

  Around 16 weeks I noticed some flat, pin-sized red marks on my chest and then overnight it seemed like more appeared on my face. My OB said its prob just the pregnancy but she tested me for low platelet count just in case and things seem fine. Tonight, I noticed a cluster of them developed on my neck, kinda looks like a hickey. Anyone else experience anything like this? OB says they are just broken blood vessels but dr google has me thinking they are something called petechiae and it's making me nervous!!! Anyone?!

  don't worry--- Petechiae are broken blood vessels.--  "small (1-2mm) red or purple spots on the body, caused by a minor hemorrhage (broken capillary blood vessels)."

  have you strained w/BM or throwing up? that can cause them.

  TTCAL since June 2012, 

  Progesterone normal, FSH elevated & AMH on the low side--  "ovaries acting older"

  Clomid cycles: 50 mg in February, July, August, September, November 2013, June 2014--  BFNs!!  :-(

  August & September 2014: Clomid, HCG and IUI-- BFNs

  September 2014: FSH= 15.7 AMH= 0.25  UGH!!!  Old lady Ovaries!!!

  October & November 2014: Gonadatropin injections, HCG & IUI... BFNs!!
