Anyone ever have Dr. Tara Mills?

I have my first prenatal appointment today (EEEK :D) just wanted to know any comments anyone has about Dr. Mills, from what I read she seems like a pretty nice, understanding doctor.

Re: Anyone ever have Dr. Tara Mills?

  • She delivered my second son. I only interacted w/ her during the very last part of my labor, but she seemed very nice :)

  • She delivered our DD.  She was pretty much all business from what I remember. Our interaction was limited as everything moved pretty fast for us.  She seemed very competent.

  • She delivered my first and was my OB for my second.  I really like her and thought she was great to have as an OB!  She was great to talk through everything with and very understanding and supportive of our wishes (we had a doula with #2).

ETA:  She was really personable with me and very warm and I never felt rushed with her, we would even chat occassionally (her kids are very close in age to mine)

  • She's my doctor and I really like her. She's very calm, soft spoken but you can tell she knows her stuff. I'm 8 months along so she hasn't delivered the baby yet but so far I have been happy in her care. So far things have been pretty smooth so I don't know how she handles complications. She is pretty busy usually so when you're pg, you have to make your appointments pretty far out but in generaly I haven't had to wait too long to see her.
  • She was my OB for the first 6 weeks but then she told me she was PG and that she would be on maternity leave the majority of my pregnancy.  I was sad to leave her because she seemed really nice but the fact that I would have seen the NP majority of my pregnancy regardless of her being on maternity leave did leave me a little uneasy.  At least with the OB I switched to, I at least saw my OB at every appt.
  • she was my ob with the twins. i switched to her in the middle of my pg bc my ob was pg and was leaving the same practice around my due date. personally i liked her ok. she was nice, soft spoken, and vert smart. i had a problem seeing nps mainly bc i had experienced a second tri loss and needed to have that reassurance from my ob. i always told the appointment desk I wanted mills not np and only had to see np once. i had a few complications but bc of my history, i saw dr d (mfm) alot more than dr mills and considered dr d my main dr. good luck.
