4month shots and baby not sleeping at night

Hi all,

Our little one had her shots on the 8th and she hasnt been sleeping well at night since. She was a wonderful night sleeper since 6 weeks old. For some reason now she cant seem to stay sleeping for longer than 2hrs and most night will only go back to sleep and stay asleep if she is on my chest. Any ideas? Has this happened to any of you?

    I'd bet anything what you're seeing isn't due to the shots, but rather the 4 month sleep regression. At around 4 months, babies' sleeping patterns switch from the newborn patterns to the regular sleep pattern of all humans. It's a rough couple of weeks because it's such a fundamental brain shift, but most babies go back to something resembling their previous sleep habits once they're done.

    My guy had his 4 month shots on Monday and that night he was up at 2, 4, 6.  But Tuesday night he was back to his 2:30/5:30 wakeups.

    It must have been the shots, back to normal sleeping last night 930-530 (BF) back to sleep till 8am. She is back to laughing, and talking away today too.

    So happy to have her back
