Experiences with the Uppababy bassinet stand?

Hello Mamas

I'm a 2nd tri-er looking in to different bassinet options. We're getting the Uppababy Vista stroller that comes with the infant bassinet and a bunch of ladies mentioned they're planning on using it with the bassinet stand when they bring baby home. I checked the stand out today and while it seems perfectly sturdy I was hoping to hear some reassuring stories from any of you who have/are using it? I'm not entirely comfortable just keeping the bassinet on the floor and it seems wasteful to buy a dedicated bassinet for such a short time when we'll have this perfectly good option... so hopefully a few of you have experiences you could share?

hi, i have a 3 week old ! we have the stand, the bassinet snaps in and is very sturdy. We like it alot however you could just us the stroller base as the stand it is the same thing and you can move it to help soother baby ! we are happy with teh stand but kinda wish we jsut used hte stroller but the stand is great and can turn into a hamper after.

We got the jolly jumper rocking stand for the uppa bassinet. Works great and was only $40!!

I also got the jolly jumper stand for $40. It works great and DD naps in the bassinet during the day.

Ditto on the Jolly Jumper stand. It does work well and we are very glad we didn't spend the extra money on the Uppababy stand as baby doesn't even use the bassinet much, now that she's longer and is more active (she hits the sides of the bassinet all the time with her arms).
