So, I have been filling out a registery and saw what looks to be a q-tip but are called safety swabs. What are they used for?? Surely, you don't stick those in your baby's ear??? If so, at what age????
My pediatritian told me recently that it really isn't necessary to clean out your infant/toddlers ears. She said if there is a really bad build up of ear wax they will clean out thier ears for you so you don't do any damage, even with the "safety swabs." The wax that is in there is normally a good thing!

You could also use them to clean the umbilical cord area. And if you have a circumcised boy, you could clean that area too.
Can also be useful to dip in saline and run around the nostril if your baby is a little stuffy or has crusty boogies.
