This is why FB is not for our parents' generation

You know the new(ish) feature on FB that shows when someone has read an article through The Washington Post Social Reader? How it automatically posts any articles you read in the news feed? Well, last night, right in my news feed, FB told me that my dad was reading "4 Things You Do That Kill Her Sex Drive". 

And, this morning, there it was again, that my dad AND my uncle had both read the article.  My sisters and I were laughing (and mortified) about it this morning and trying to decide who should let our dad know this was posted to his FB page and running through the news feed.  Not only does he have a lot of our friends from growing up as mutual FB friends, but he uses his FB page for some real estate business!

    Pretty much. When my sister called me this morning, I knew exactly what it was about. I said I wanted to pretend like I never saw it and hope that it goes away quick (even though it's still on his profile page).  She was going to pick my niece up at my parents' house and she was thinking of gently breaking it to him there!

    That's pretty funny! I also would vote "not it," but someone has to tell your dad, especially if he has business contacts on FB.

    One word: "Like".

     He'll probably die of embarrassment and then go change his privacy settings!

    This is brilliant! But, then he'd have to call me to ask how to change his privacy settings, bringing the whole exchange to light!

    I might be the only person who doesn't find it as awkward.. I'd just tell him that maybe he didn't know that linking his FB account to the WP reader also posts the articles he reads on his timeline. 

    Adults know other adults have sex.

    Lol, this!  I'm used to seeing updates like this from my cousins, but not my mom.  My mom hardly ever uses fb though.
