A couple questions from your fellow UCSFer...

1)  Did you take methylprednisolone (Medrol) as part of your protocol?  My last RE didn't have me on this and I'm curious if it's standard here... I can't say I'm a huge fan of the thought of taking steroids for 5 days on top of everything else!  But, I just got my MDR price list and the steroid was on it.  So was Valium... did you take it for ER? 

2)  Did you do acu immediately before and after ET (not sure if this is even an option here)?  If so, do you have a rec for someone in the city who could come do it?  I'm not sure I can convince my acupuncturist to drive 1.5 hours each way to do it... 

Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.

Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

    I did take medrol (to help keep your body from rejecting the embryos) and valium (to relax your uterine muscles, and keep you calm) for ET (not ER).

    I see Miria Toveg at UCSF's Osher Center, which is about a block away from the RE's office.  I absolutely ADORE her! She's been like my therapist/best friend since I started seeing her last summer. They do not take insurance though, but I get the form from them to submit for reimbursement. I did go beforehand and then MH walked me over there afterwards for round 2. I don't think I've ever been so relaxed with 2 acu sessions and a valium, lol!

    Thank you so much, that was very helpful!  I will definitely give her a call and it's fabulous that she's only a block away.  Also good to know that both of those drugs are standard. Thanks for the recommendation!

    I'm not sure what all your abbreviations mean, but I've had several IVFs and took Medrol with each one.  HTH!  :-)
