Does anyone have any thoughts on Flip diapers? I saw someone on here say she uses them when she's out and about b/c they are smaller and less to pack. I already have a big diaper bag so if they do take up less room I am definitely interested.

I just bought 2 covers and inserts and started using them this week. I love them and seriously wish I had known about them when I bought the majority of my stash. They're exactly like the BG OS but hybrids instead of pockets. Because you only change out the insert until it the cover gets messy, you can extend the time between loads of laundry. I use the large inserts from my BG dipes in the Flips so I didn't have to buy any extra inserts. The only negative so far is that the inserts get really wet against DS's skin, so I definitely wouldn't use these for nighttime.
I use them in the diaper bag because they take up less space, especially since you can reuse the covers (thus, less covers to pack!). I love the flips. They are trim and super easy to use. We've never had a leak either. I also like that I can use the disposable inserts because we have needed them on a few occasions. I really don't have much complaints about them. There's also a sale now so it's a good time to get a few if you want to try them!

Are you using something between the baby and the BG insert? That insert is Microfiber. If you are and it's still not wicking well I would either try another material or just buy the staydry inserts which work well and keep moisture away from baby's skin.
We haven't started using them because DS isn't big enough yet, but we plan to use them full-time when he outgrows his newborn covers. I love that I can use them over and over, plus they'll dry quicker than pockets. I have to make sure to use a natural fiber doubler if I ever want to use a microfiber insert, but it's not too much of an inconvenience.
we have used as covers and I really liked them. I do not use PF's anymore but have been looking into fitteds. Flip would be my first pick out of all covers. I like the stretch.

We tried over fitteds and they didn't fit . I use blueberry coveralls instead.
ETA: they are very trim so they don't cover the whole diaper well.
The flips are my go to diaper. I know a lot of people use them with pf because of cost but I really don't think the stay dry liners are much more. They work so well too. They keep dd dry and fit in the cover like they should.
I would give them a try. I think you will like them.

I also use my bf large insert with my flip. If I cut up a
Receiving blanket and used that between the insert
And her bum would that help keep the moisture off her skin?
