Baby Language..

I just watched this video https://youtu.be/nv3-74EFtWQ that someone posted on the 0-3month board.  I found it very interesting and am going to try it out. Hopefully it will help with my LO's fussy time at night and maybe help with some of you too.

Good Luck.

  • Wow! I knew her cries were different for different things, but this made it clear. She made the burp noise and sure enough she needed to burp. I can't wait to see if I can hear the other sounds.

  • That's totally helpful!  DH claims he had some of these noises already figured out which I think is partially true because he's better at calming him than I am.  But it's nice to have actual words I can listen too.  The word for lower gas cracks me up (eiar I think it was).

  • Wow. This is awesome! It's like a cheat sheet! My LO is colicky and sure enough, she makes the gas sound all the time when she's having a crying fit.

  • Apparently I am an idiot because I can't tell the difference. I can tell her cry from her really pissed off cry. But usually the really pissed off cry is reserved for the nasal aspirator and the bath ;)

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!!  My LO screams every night and won't calm down. I'm going to listen for these sounds to see if I can figure out what she wants/needs before she becomes hysterical. I might even invest in the DVD...
