Clogged Duct?

I only was able to breastfeed for 1 week and then switched to formula. My milk seemed to have dried up but today my breasts are engorged and painful and I'm expiriencing leaking for the first time. Does this sound like clogged ducts? any advice? I don't want to nurse or pump, maybe hand express some milk?

    Try applying ice packs or cold cabbage leaves to your breasts.  It should help relieve some of the engorgement.  I wouldn't suggest expressing since you're trying to dry up, but a little bit just to relieve the pain may not hurt.  If you have any particular tender areas, keep an eye on them so you don't develop mastitis.
