This is one of those "I need to make sure we're not abnormal" posts. How often do you get through an entire day without any whining, crying, tantruming, screaming, etc. in your house? My answer right now is NEVER, so I want to know if something is seriously wrong in our house or if this is normal. Thank you for playing.
Re: Levels of whininess - is this normal?
You are normal.
A day without at least one breakdown is not a day that exists in my world. If I can avoid having both girls breakdown at the same time, I feel good. Well, maybe not good, but it's much more manageable. It's the days of the double breakdown that can really get you.
With three kids NEVER EVER EVER, but even when we only had one kid, I'd still say it was probably never.
Normal.
Lots of whining and crying in my house = normal day for us.
right there with you, times 2
Definitely never in this house, and some days are considerably worse than others. You are totally normal.
we had no whining out of tomas until he was 5. and it's like he's going through the terrible twos. tantrums and screaming fits. at least he's old enough to take himself to his room.
audrey is already into the terrible twos. lucky me, two tantrum throwing children at the same time! isn't this why i spaced them 4 years apart?
I think whining, crying, etc. are totally normal as little people learn to handle big emotions.
Happens daily here - and happens no matter who is taking care of him - our nanny, me, DH - we've all been there!
