Bleeding after baby

I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else. I bleed for about 4-5 days after I had DD. It completely stopped for a few days and then out of know where a huge amount started coming out again. It stopped and started again.  Also (TMI) the smell down there is really bad. Maybe a yeast infection or bacterial infection? What do you think?

    I had a C section but for the first week I barely bled at all! Since I've been home, moving around more the bleeding has picked up a lot, which my doc said is because I'm doing too much (oops) but maybe that's why yours has picked up too?

    I've had that happen to me already.  I did notice it came back if I was up on my feet more than normal trying to do stuff.I just figure as long as it isn't any more than I was bleeding when I came home and I didn't pass any big clots, I was probably fine.

    I recommend a sitz bath.  Not only does it get the lady bits clean, it feels wonderful.  I managed a quick half hour on it today while DH entertained LO.  Plus I bleed less for a little while afterwards.

    If it smells bad I would call your doc. A bad smell is not normal.
