....All in one year! We are in the process of purchasing a house now as well! Almost too much for one year! So exciting as well! Anyone else having any other big life changes?
YEAH a baby...and we have to get a new car...ugh its stressful on DH...
Same boat--I'm going to need a new car. Our house also needs a lot of work because we were hoping to do our kitchen over but that's gonna have to wait!
Since we found out on Monday that we are having twins we know have to get DH a new (or new to him) vehicle and we really need a new house in the next year. We could probably get by for a few months but once they start moving there is not going to be enough room. It is very stressfull, especially on the DHs.
Yes! Got married in September 2011, got a new puppy, and now were on the search for our first house because our lease is up in october when baby will be here!
We got married in October 2011, found out we're pregnant January 23, and have been house hunting since before the wedding. Luckily our only car with a payment will be paid off in 10 days!!! And we're not shopping for a new one anytime soon. So excited!
Well the good things that we all have each other for some advice cause my DH & got married in October then found out I'm pregnant in Jan, I have a two door Honda accord my DH truck is down & right now bunked in with my parents so that we can save for house because we are in need of one and at the same time my family business is not doing so good in this economy but trying our best to get by. If it weren't for my parents I don't know what we would be at right now.
Lots of us got married in October! We did too! We are currently renting but are planning to buy within 6 months (when our lease ends) and then Baby in October. We both have good cars, so that's not an issue. I bought my car five years ago (paid off last year) and am so happy now that I went with sensible over flashy! (Yay 4-door Honda Civic!)
My husband took a new job in March 2011, we moved 300 miles away in June, sold our house in October, found out we were expecting in November (huge surprise), I turned 30 in January, and we celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary this September. Busy year for us indeed.
My suggestion is just go with it. Don't think about it too much or you will feel overwhelmed.
I got married in April 2008. Moved to another state in September 2008 for a new job. Bought a house in October 2008. Got pregnant in February 2009, Defended my dissertation in May 2009, and my son was born in November 2009. My entire life changed in the space of about 18 months.
When I stopped to think about everything I would start to hyperventilate a little bit. Best to just let the current take you, and enjoy it.

Oh yeah, lost my job, got a new one, both of us got the swine flu at the beginning of the year during house renovations, got married in June, had to rent out our home in Ireland after getting back from honeymoon, moved to the USA for my DH'S job and now I'm pregnant (and delighted of course). The apartment we are renting is not too child friendly and I wasn't loving the location before the pregnancy. Lease is up the month i am due so thats probably going to mean another big change. Agggghhhhh - no friends or family around to help! What a year!
I found out I was pregnant two weeks before my husband deployed. He'll be gone for a year, we were married last September. It's not a financial burden or change but it's a huge deal to us. I still don't know how I'm going to go through this entire pregnancy and babies first four months by myself... Worried, but I know I'm blessed and so lucky to have found the perfect person to create a family with....

Awww, sorry your hubby's being deployed, we'll be here for you girl!
Hmmm... I had to get a new car, then got married, then had to have major surgery two days after the wedding, then I moved to a different state, started a new job and now I'm 8 weeks pregnant. All within 6 months. When it rains it pours.
