Judgey McJudgersons Welcomed:)

So obviously the last couple of threads inspired this one. What mom IRL do you judge and why? Mine is actually a good friend of mine and never really judged her until she felt the need to let me know what I was doing wrong with dd on a daily basis. Yeah I'm going to take criticism from the chick who pours coke cola in her one year old's sippy cup. I think I'll pass on the advice, thank you. P.s. My ds is 9 years older than her oldest kid. He's still going strong so I think I've done something right! And go!

Re: Judgey McJudgersons Welcomed:)

  • OOooo...this should be a new thread every week....it could totally get interesting

I judge my friend who introduces her 3 kids to every new guy she meets like right away...I feel bad for the kids...the get to know the guy...then NEXT!

Ugh, that's so gross! I hate when chicks do that. All I can picture is the poor kid thinking "Is this one going to be my new daddy?"
  • I judge my best friend who let her house go into foreclosure because she didn't like it any longer & supposedly couldn't afford it, then moved into a condo that she was renting for $200 MORE a month than her house, then moved in with her mom & stepdad because she couldn't afford the condo and now wants to finish school (for the 4544330093810th time). Did I mention she has a 4.5 year old kid that she's toting along through all this? She's also separated from her husband (NOT fully divorced), is dating a guy 5 years younger than her, has an apartment with the new guy where she keeps her furniture while living with her mom, and the topper- her husband is keeping her 2 dogs.

    ummm...yeah.

  • Oh goodness, I could definitely come up with one every week. I will not go there though because I would get so judged for knowing people like that.

  • I judge my GF (edit*more like a acquaintance)who always has her LO in a onesie (Never any socks, pants, blanket ect) also who she always has to brag about and push on landmarks like eating solids, rolling over ect. Also she has a answer to everything! I mean everything! Can't stand that! Trust me I am a person whom tries not to be Judgmental towards others or a B!tch but I can't help it with her (bahahaha I guess I am only human).Embarrassed

We ALL know people like that! No judging each other it's only for people IRL:)
  • I have a friend who dashed in her son's room for every. little. whimper. Maybe that's why he's not STTN at nearly 12 months. "You can't spoil an infant," she tells me. Yeah, but there's a line.

I have another friend (more of a friend of a friend) who is Judgey McJudgerson on everyone else on their parenting skills. She jumped down another friend's throat for posting a pic on facebook with her son in a crib that had bumpers on it (oh the humanity!) and he was still sleeping in his bassinet at that time anyway, and the crib was just set up for show. This is the same lady who constantly posts on fb about how advanced her kid is, like "we're going to just skip crawling and just move on to walking..." So effing annoying, about how much her kid is better than all of ours, and she's a better parent. I wish I could unfriend her, since I'm tired of reading about it, but I see her frequently at social gatherings and I know I would pay the price. Her daughter is 6 weeks older than mine.

    Alright...I have a friend who doesn't brush her teeth. She's 20.

Same friend is a pathological liar and will lie even if you already know the truth. she also lies to one up you. When I got pregnant she told me she was happy for me but that she was sad because she had just lost twins, I know her whole family, this is something I would have been told.

  • I have a friend who have a one year old son.  They both work modest jobs; neither of them are huge wage earners, but it seems like every 3 months they're taking out some new ridiculous auto loan (then defaulting on it, trading it back etc); they buy all these high end electronics off QVC ("but it's a really good payment plan!"), rent houses far beyond their means so they can brag about the square footage or the neighborhood or what have you.. And then they complain about how bad it sucks having to find a second job, or being short on diaper money that week, or something equally deserving of a #facepalm.

Every time they waste their money on some new consumer good, I have to bite back my urge to ask them why they didn't just put their obviously extra disposable income toward their own retirement, or their son's college account, or a life insurance policy.

  • There's one mom who has so little control over her brood that I gave up trying to hang out with her for my kids' safety.  The hitting, hair pulling and biting without correction/consequence is just unacceptable in my book.

Alrighty....is there a reason she doesnt brush her teeth?  Laziness?  Just curious! And the pathological liar thing is actually sort of a psychological problem...I know a few people VERY close to me that I am fairly certain have this problem..it's pretty sad :-(

  • I have a good one.  My stepson's mom.....she is the WORST.  MH has full custody and she has visitation two days a week for a few hrs after school and every other weekend.  She doesn't want to bring him home or pick him up EVER.  She always tells MH "the least you can do is bring him to me" he says "if I am the one raising him what is the least you can do?" She even took him to court to try to get a judge to make MH drop him off and pick him up from her house.  Whenever my stepson comes home from her house, I have to check his homework because it's always wrong (she told him one day that the small hand on the clock is the minute hand Indifferent) how can you get second grade homework wrong????

Recently she decided that she did not want to take her son to bball practice during her weekends.  She said "I shouldn't be responsible to take him to extra curricular activities his father puts him in"!!!!!!! OMG what kind of mother does this?  So MH takes him to practice every saturday and she gets him after.  Ofcourse now she wants to know where his games are because he is wondering why she's not involved.........It makes me so sad.

I have no idea why she doesn't. Her breath is horrendous, and of course it's obvious she doesn't brush because there is always something in them and they are so yellow.

My SIL who is planing on homeschooling her 3 kids...except she's as dumb as a rock.  No, seriously, you're going to have to trust me on this one. I'm the one with the teaching certificate and I couldn't imagine homeschooling my own children.

I have a friend, actually my closest friend locally, who decided to homeschool her 2 kids.  She told me this and I kind of gave her the side eye.  She is NOT the type of mom that should be home schooling AT ALL....sometimes they skip a week, sometimes they don't start school until 4 in the afternoon.  The kids sleep until 10 everyday.  What kind of work eithic are you teaching your kids here!!?  Its horrible.

  • My old BFF. Her house is a disgusting disaster, her kids are always sick, she tells me constantly about the hazards of imunizing my kid(hers are not), she could barely put herself together somedays when she only had one, and now has two and told me that she is just to busy to call.

Well you know what sweetheart-your husband and mine are in the same industry so i understand what it is like to never having a man around. I am no where close to being the walk of shame that you have become. Your life isnt that hard and you have it pretty damn good. Suck it up princess, put on your big girl panties and come over for a glass of wine.

Thats what I would like to say.

  • I judge my sister for feeding her baby Taco Bell all the time, and her baby being morbidly obese. By baby I mean from 8 months old-13 months old (her age now)...Taco Bell about 4 times a week, and McDonald's cheeseburgers and fries twice a week. She never cooks her a homemade meal, and she gets pissed when the pedi yells at her about her daughter's weight.

  • I judge my friend who had her 6 week old CIO. He was a preemie and spent 4 of those 6 weeks in the NICU. She never follows what the doctor tells her (her now 7 month old has had cows milk). She likes to judge me for not CIO and slowly introducing food. I am not saying I have an issue with people who CIO, just at that point when he had just come home from the NICU.

Poor little girl. How could someone even feed an 8 month old Taco Bell? I couldn't imagine trying to give DD any food like that at that age.

  • Well, I was at Walmart yesterday picking out a car seat. If you've ever seen those "people at Walmart" photos, then you'll understand my judgement moment.

In the baby section were a couple and their little child (probably 4 or 5 years old). He was about 400 lbs, wearing sweat pants, and his gut was hanging out from under his shirt. His wife was very pregnant and pretty overweight herself.

My judgement (aside from what he was wearing)- how do these people have sex? How big could his penis possibly be with a belly like he had? Obviously they already have a kid and another on the way, but it's not a mental picture I wanted to have while looking at car seats.

  • I judge my stepsons mother all of the time, pretty much to the point of not even considering her a mom anymore.  She is at the point of living up to the "any woman can have a baby but it doesnt make her a mother".  He lives with me and his dad full time, he chose that when he was 6.  She sees him for maybe 4 days during the entire month.  She calls once every 7-9 days and has not idea what he is doing in school.  Last week she even told DH that since she talked to him a little over XBox when her husband was playing online also was enough and she wasnt going to call.  She started pushing him away when she had her daughter with man #2, and now she has baby #3 with man #3 so its even worse for him.Luckily me and DH are able to do everything for him so he doesnt really feel neglected by her and still doesnt realize that his mom basically sucks.  I know she will get whats coming to her one day when he wants nothing to do with her, but it makes me sadder for him knowing thats coming.

She is a "mom" when the situations calls for it cause she doesnt want it to look bad to others; wanting him for holidays, going to parent/teacher conferences and back to school night.

She had the nerve a couple months ago to flame me on facebook, going as far as saying that I condoned child molestation and made her son a poster child for it because he wore a Penn State T-shirt.  Well mutual FB friends of ours started going off on her about it and then she turned it into a forum to lay out everything she hates about me.  It was awful.

Also? I saw a 5-year old (I swear I am not even exaggerating here) drinking from a bottle today. His little sister seemed to be about DD1's age, so around 2, 2.5 and was also having a bottle. Oh yes, I judged.

I saw this not so long ago myself.  The father was walking around with a baby bottle in his pocket and 3 kids.  Two of the kids looked like teens and one looked about 7 so I was confused as to why he had a bottle.  Then I see him take it out of his pocket (it's full of brown soda) and give it to the 7 year old who drinks it.  I judged too.  Didn't say anything but I'm sure the expression on my face gave it away.
