Your baby's eyes?

What color are they?  Baby girl is 10 weeks old, and her eyes are still the same dark blue color that they were in the hospital.  I would think they'd have turned brown by now.  What color are your baby's eyes right now?

Re: Your baby's eyes?

  • DS is also 10 weeks and his eyes are almost a muddy color somewhere between my blue eyes and DH's brown eyes. I think they still have time before they stay or finally change.

  • They are a lighter blue now.

  • DS's have turned a much darker blue.
  • Still the same slate gray. I was told in the hospital it can take a year or even more for they eyes to change to their true color.

  • DD1's eyes stayed blue until 12 months when they finally changed to hazel.

  • LO's are still blue, but as MH and I both have blue eyes, I think it's permanent.

  • C is 11 weeks old. Her eyes are bright blue around the pupil and darker around the outside. Super pretty and I hope she gets to keep them. I have blue eyes so she has a fighting chance. Stick out tongue

  • She seems to have a little brighter blue than birth. I have dark grey blue and daddy has pretty hazel eyes. We'll see what she ends up with :)

  • They vary from bright blue to dark grey

  • They are darker blue around the outside and lighter blue around the pupil.  By the way your daughter is beautiful! Such a cute pic!
  • It took my daughters eyes around a year to go from blue to brown so don't count it out yet. They started out dark blue. Carters are sky blue still but may go green or hazel before his first birthday.

  • I don't think the colour changes till a little later. Our first son was born with VERY dark grey colour eyes, almost "hematite" coloured. They started to change when he was oh... 4 months old I think? Started getting brownish tinged around the pupil. That brown spread out to the rest of his iris by the time he was 1 year old. Now they're a dark chocolate brown.

Now our 2nd son, he was born with lighter grey-blue eyes...so we are wondering if he will have daddy's eye colour - kind of a grey-green-blue colour (they change depending on lighting and what he's wearing).

  • DD's eyes are still dark blue but there is much more brown in them now.  I'm assuming they'll turn brown like mine but I was hoping for green like DH's!
  • DD's eyes are light blue near the pupil and dark blue around the edges.  I think they are pretty and hope they stay that way.  Although, my hazel eyes would be pretty with her auburn hair, but so would blue eyes!

  • My pedi said that slate gray may change to blue up/around 4 months and green or brown around 9 months. I guess we have a couple more months of waiting ahead.

  • When LO was born, her eyes were a navy blue/dark gray color. Now they are more of a gray/green/brown color. I have brown eyes and DH has hazel, so I'm hoping she gets something other than brown.
