Re: Weekend plans?

  • homework & trying not to freeze (isn't it supposed to be hella "wintery" this weekend?)

  • DH has been gone since Wed and doesn't get back till late tonight.  Not sure what we will do tomorrow - probably hang around the house and "work" on it (we have lots of little projects going on).  I may take DD1 out for a special treat since she has been really good all week and run a few quick errands.  Sunday we have a birthday party in Frederick so that will consume most of our day.
  • Because it's going to be so cold and I'm desperate to get out of the house, we're going to try some new indoor options. We're planning to go to Port Discovery in Baltimore on Saturday and possibly the National Trolley Museum on Sunday.

  • hoping for enough snow to play in!!

  • We are surprisingly free this weekend. If it's dry tomorrow, I would love to hit a big mega-park like the one in Germantown, but we'll see. (I just put C down for a "nap" and he is yelling at me that he is awake and wants to go to the park).
  • It's really supposed to be "wintry"?? I need to look into that - DH's birthday is Saturday and we're going out for dinner with friends (some from OOT) that night.  I hopw no one is snowed out of attending.

Plus I have a massage on Sunday and that had BETTER not be cancelled because of weather! :P

  • DD#1 and I are going to a puppet show on Saturday morning at Glen Echo. It's indoors so I figure it will be a good excuse to get out of the house and then we are going to the grocery store. I've never been to one of these so I hope it's good.

Tomorrow night the ILs will probably come over for dinner. On Sunday, we may make Valentine's day cookies.

What mega park is this? Also, I'm LOL about him yelling about wanting to go to the park.

That looks like fun. I wonder if C would be in to that.

I think the park is called Adventure Park. It's huuuge and shaped like a castle.

Oh my goodness, I just found it online. I have to take DD there one day because she is obsessed with castles (and princesses, etc.) I'm adding this to my "activity list". Thanks for the tip.

LOL!! (I'm sure it's much funnier to someone not sitting in your house. :) )

We have a birthday party for my grandma tomorrow evening. Not a "big" birthday, but she's 94 and we don't know how many years are left so both of my dad's brothers are flying in to celebrate with us. I still need to get her gift done and wrapped...

Other than that, nothing much happening except trying to avoid going anywhere in the weather.

  • With the exception of the baby in the bump, we are kidless this weekend so I have a consultation Saturday late morning (very much looking forward to this!) with a client I haven't seen in a while. Saturday night we are going down to Georgetown for some of our favorite Vietnamese food (YUMMAY) and Sunday...absolutely NOTHING. ;) My idea of a perfect weekend alone!
  • Super exciting weekend here ;-) It started with Thai takeout because two lunches this week wasn't enough for me! Then it's finishing taxes, running to Costco, finishing some last stuff for baby's room, and washing baby's laundry so he has clothes & sheets. The exciting part may be ordering our trial of cloth diapers!
EDD 2/29/12. We'll see if he's actually a Leap Day baby!
