What's your favorite stage so far?

Doesn't have to be what you consider the easiest, but what's your favorite?

I love the 1.5-2.5 the best.  It was my favorite with DS1 and so far is my favorite with the twins.

While I miss snuggly little NB's, if I could have this stage (or at least from 6m on) longer in place of the NB stage, I'd trade in a second.

Re: What's your favorite stage so far?

  • I am really enjoying it now. They're walking, laughing, interacting with each other. They laugh at us and play a bit. They get into drawers and carry around our cell phones if we don't pay attention. It's crazy busy but fun. I just wish they were sleeping better. The teething and what I suspect is a growth spurt has put us right back in sleep hell. Otherwise I would totally capture this age now and enjoy it for quite awhile.

  • Every month from 6 forward I've said "oh this is my favorite!" I love walking, talking, silly, fun toddlers. They are so smart and pick up so many new things every day. If I could have children born at the 7 month level, I'd have a million sets of twins because it's so much fun.

  • I can honestly say I have enjoyed each stage they have been in and I try to remind myself that it won't last long so enjoy them as they are at each age. I just think it's so amazing to watch them develop and grow. It blows my mind and is such a joy.

Each stage has had it's ups and downs. So I guess I don't have a favorite.

  • As much as I adored the late infant months (8-12), I LOVE 4. It's so so so fun. :)

  • Like another poster I've liked every stage and as OP I do miss the NB snuggles...I really enjoy this stage (2 years old) and going forward- the boys can actually say words, they're developping each of their own personalities, they do the sweetest things and are so fun to watch interact, they're just so sweet!

The boys have started coming over and just laying their heads (at different times) on my legs while I'm doing things around the house and saying "mammy" just so randomely and one thing they started is if one of them has a "bobo" I would just kiss it better, well now whomever has the "bobo" will get a kiss to make it better from his brother...it's just great!

  • Gosh, I don't know. 1.5-2.5 was fun in some ways but really crazy--especially trying to take them anywhere! I remember thinking after they turned one, and around 15m when they were both really starting to walk and talk, it seemed like it got a lot more fun! Dealing with more attitude and tantrums from 2 on has been a challenge. I like the current stage ... it's really tough at times dealing with the attitude and defiance and constant tantrums. BUT I love that they're really starting to play with each other; the imaginative play is so much fun; they're somewhat better at independent play so it's not as much the constant attention like when they were younger, and it's easier to take them places without dealing with the stroller and such.

  • The girls are 17 months today, and this is BY FAR my favorite age so far. They're really talking now ("Hi Momma!" "Night night, sister!") and watching them hug each other when they've been apart melts my heart. The dancing, the playing, the running, the laughing. I love it.

I also seriously love not mixing formula, washing bottles or feeding purees anymore.

  • I loved 6-8 months, and then 15 months and on.

I love now how they're talking so much, but mostly what words/phrases they've picked up on...it's so amusing!
