Did you buy a sit-and-stand stroller? DS is 5, but rowdy and has issues with staying with me if we're out and about and he's not strapped into a stroller. I have a Maclaren right now that isn't going to work for a newborn (I would just wear the baby) but would it be worth it to invest in a sit-and-stand for later on down the road?
The only positive of becoming a parent of 2 is that I can at least cross off some excessive things off my list of things to buy (like the bouncer we never used for DS or the pack-n-play we didn't use but once or twice on vacations), but this is the only thing I'm unsure of.
Re: Moms of 2+
which stroller is this??
My plan is to get a double, hopefully a used one sometime this summer.
I had 2U2 for a bit and I got the Baby Jogger City Mini double stroller. It's seriously been one of the greatest baby-related purchases I've ever made. Even at 3.5, my DS still loves this stroller.
I think you'll find that you will need some type of double stroller only b/c most older siblings want whatever the baby has once it's here. And if the baby is in the stroller, then they want to be there too

I really dread a double stroller. I have a Ford Focus, there is not any chance I can fit a double stroller in that trunk (and I can't talk H into trading me for his Equinox lol).
I might have to really play up the "big boys with baby siblings get to do fun things like walk with Mommy" thing. He'll be 5.5 when baby gets here and I will only have the duo on weekends when I'm out and about (or on vacations).

someone is giving us one....
however, if they were, i think i'd still purchase it. ds is 4 and obviously is able to walk on his own, but he does get tired and want to be held if we dont have the stroller.
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
I'm leaning toward a sit and stand - DS will be exactly 3.5 when baby comes. DH thinks this is not necessary b/c DS already loves to walk. But the Sit and Stand I want holds the kids until they are like 4 and 6, so I want it in case we go on a vacation or something too. Also, I think he'll do what Mrs. Jenni said and want to sit in it since the baby is in it...
That said, I got one for my mother in law to use with my son and nephew (SIL and I split the cost) off Cragslist that was in mint condition for $65, so I may keep an eye on there over the summer.
When #2 arrived my son was 2 yrs 10 months...we got a double stroller...the front n back one and it worked well for us since he was rowdy as well! Still is! lol I figured if we did the sit n stand he would take option 2 to stand all the time and try to get off etc etc. But once this one comes DS#2 will be 4.5 and DS#1 will be 7..... I'll be getting just a regular single stroller for baby since the boys now know the deal of staying with us.
