Which do you like better? Alina is pronounced Uh-LEE-nuh, and Alaina is Uh-LAY-nuh.
Is Alaina a bit "boring"? Would people have trouble figuring out how to pronounce Alina? I think Alina is of Greek/Russian/Ukrainian origin, and Alaina is French or American.
I kind of like Francesca as a middle name
I like names that are a little bit exotic, yet American (both hubs and I are caucasian).
Thoughts and suggestions??
Re: Alina or Alaina? Or neither??
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I like both, and don't think that Alina is that difficult to pronounce. As with any other name, one correction should be all it takes if someone mispronounces. I think I slightly prefer Alina.

Alina!
I had a student whose father was from Hawaii and her name was Ailina. While in Hawaii it would be A-uh-leena, they pronounced it the way you want.
I much prefer Alina! I do find Alaina boring, personally.
Alina Francesca
