he's been going everyday (for half days) for just over a week now instead of Tuesday/Thursday. My DCP said that she had done this before when kids were going part-time & going through separation anxiety.
on mornings that he seems particularly nervous, I give him a stuffed animal to bring from home. Sometimes cuddling that helps him (a little).
Woot! From what I understand, it can be harder for older babies to get used to a daycare situation, but once they are in the groove, it is gravy. I'm so glad! I, on the other hand, have to pry C out of my DCP's arms at the end of the day. I try not to take it personally.
Amazing! And kudos to your daycare provider for coming up with an alternative schedule to help him through this.
Yes & I can't believe she's not even charging me more for it (although, I added more in b/c I think it's only fair).
I don't really like the half-days though. I definitely prefer having 2 full days to myself b/c once I get started on my homework, 5 hrs can blow by & not realize it. If I get interrupted, it's harder to go back to what I was doing.
So, I hope that when we go back to his p/t schedule, he's OK. (she won't have room for him MWF in March)

Hooray!!!

As a side bonus, I'm guessing this also means more alone time for you.
that's awesome!
