I worked as a dental assistant for almost 10 years and we helped lots of patient that had this problem all the time. Try warm moist heat. Stay away from chewy foods i.e. gum, breads, things like that. You could see a massage therapist. In severe cases we would make a night guard aka splint to wear while sleep or during acute pain spells. I would make an appt with your dentist. I hope you have pain relief soon.

Do you already have mouthguards to keep you from clenching too much while you sleep? If not, talk to your dentist about those. No, when I was diagnosed, my doctor prescribed flexaril (sp), since I didn't get it that often, and it worked, I never went the mouthguard route because of how expensive they are.
Have you tried seeing a massage therapist for it? It hurts like he!! to have it done, but might help if you can't get relief. I have not, but its on my list to check out!
Thanks
