Argh -- valentine's party not on valentine's day?

DS's preschool teacher sent out a note re Valentine's Day -- the usual about exchange of the cards on Tuesday. No problemo. Well, I didn't even notice until this morning that DD's teacher decided to have her Valentine's Day festivities TOMORROW. Rationale: "parties feel like they should be on Friday." Seriously? So when the rest of the school is celebrating, this class won't. And it's not a Friday-centric holiday but one easily and usually celebrated whenever it happens to fall during the week.

And the main reason I'm whining? Wasn't prepared to rush through preparing valentines for DD's class tonight. Thank GOODNESS I bought them in advance. Ugh.

I agree with you! I'm not a fan of tossing around holidays wherever someone feels like it works better for them.

I agree with you. Their party should be on Tuesday.

DS' party is also today. I think their reasoning is that more of their PT kids (including DS) are MWF instead of T/Th so more kids get to participate.
