Mine is pretty embarrassing... Please don't judge.
Let me start out by saying we met in college and I am such a light weight when it comes to drinking. So, my friends decided that they wanted to go to a party and dragged me out with them (I did not want to go). We went to a fraternity toga party. I had been to this fraternity before because my friend was dating a member and their punch had nothing in it that time. Well this time they loaded it up and by the time it hit me I was on my 3rd glass (shame).
Well needless to say I was very drunk, but my friends wanted to go to another party so they could meet up with some guys they met last week. I was just along for the ride at this point. Well, I get to the party and start talking to my BF. We exchange numbers and his friends (the guys my friends met last week) invite us over to their house.
We get in the car to drive (we had a DD) and I am sitting in the middle seat in the back. I had begged to sit by a window b/c I was not feeling well. I ended up throwing up on my BF and his friend. Mostly on myself b/c I lifted my "togo" up to catch it. Since I have such amazing friends they continued to drag me around since they wanted to hook up. My BF let me borrow some of his clothes and I had called another friend to come pick me up.
He called me the next week and that was that. I sound super classy.
Here is a very old picture of us. I need some updated ones, but I have been avoiding the camera.
I met Albert at McDonald's! He and my mom got a job at the same place and I was giving them a ride to get their company cars and we had to pick him up at McDonalds. We began hanging out because he was moving two hours away from home for this job and knew nobody...still strange to think about where our relationship started.
We look so young in this picture! This was probably a year or so after we met, we are at Cedar Point (theme park).
Thanks so much for doing this. It's so fun! (And a great way to spend the next 10 minutes while Liam is asleep on me until Jared gets home from work :-)
So, Jared and I first met when he was in 8th grade, and I was in 10th grade. Our band and choir teachers recruited us to compose an anti-drug musical. (This was totally back in the days when the government would throw money at anything to influence kids not to do drugs.)
Jared and I would "hang out" whenever we went to band competitions, and we went to homecoming together one year. Eventually, we got into trouble for making out in the high school library, and his parents made us break up because I was the "wild, older girl"... He went to the Marines and got married, I went to college, got two graduate degrees, and got married twice. EEP!
He found me on Facebook about two years ago, and we've actually done some songwriting and got our first two copyrights from the Library of Congress. Crazy, huh?
I'm on the far right. The short girl in dark clothes standing up. Jared and I would be standing together, but for some reason, Eric Clarke is between us.
And Jared still had this newspaper article when he moved here:
He underlined our names together in the newspaper back when he was in 8th grade because he had a huge crush on me.
We met at OTB. He was a server, I used to be. I picked up shifts to meet him but he was the only one willing to give up shifts in order for me to work. It took a cpl weeks until we were in synch. He claims it was the "I'm in a band" line that hooked me. Not quite...We have been together for 9 yrs. The pic is from 2008.

I was living with my sister and it was a 60 mile commute (one way) to my new job so I started looking for a place to live that was closer. A guy found me on roommates.com and we met to make sure our personalities meshed before I moved in. The day I moved in we went to a bar down the street that night and some of his friends showed up to hang out, one of which was DH. Over the next couple weeks we hung out in the group and then on June 10th we had our first date which ended up lasting from Friday night to Sunday morning. We were inseparable after that. 2.5 years later we got engaged and another 1.5 years after that we got married. We'll have been married for 3 years this May (together 7 years this June).
another e harmony here too! i grew up in a place where everybody knew everybody and after a failed engagement , i didnt know how to meet new people. i figured id give it a try and im glad i did! we had our first date on a friday and the next three days we saw each other everynight (we lived in diff cities). dh actually told his brother after our first date that i was "the one"! amelia will be one on our 3rd wedding anniversary
My DH and I met at work. How romantic! We had a lot of mutual friends and ended up hanging out at parties for a while until we made our relationship "official". We still work for the same company today....same building too....separated by 5 floors.
No pictures here at work. I know, I'm not any fun.

MH and I met while working at a summer camp. I was the camp nurse and he was the CIT cordinator.
We actually made a pack to "just be friends". When we started hanging out people started gossiping about it, and I told him that I wasn't interested in dating anyone right then (I was separated from my abusive XH at the time), and if he wanted to be friends that was fine, but nothing more. We even shook on the deal.
We feel in love before we ever had our first date. Eventually, we knew we were the right ones for each other and officially started dating after the summer was over. Every year we go back as a family and attend family camp where it all started. DD1 also goes to summer camp there every year.
Baby boy H is here! Born 2/1/2014
Mysterious_wife: "And for the love of all things that sparkle, remove your last name" on BOTB.
I worked for a chemical company when I lived out West and hired her as my assistant. I switched to a new position and then we were able to hang out together. She's 10 years younger than me and like the little sister I never had. Now I live in Missouri and she's in frickin' Beverly Hills. Rodeo Drive. We talk every other day and see each other once a year. She is an "Aunt" to my girls. She's the one I'd call if I had a dead body to move.
Met because my SIL and DHs sister both thought since we were both single and from previous bad marriages we might want to at least meet. So SIL and DHs sister invited me to a party so his sister can see how I am and she thought I might be good for her brother. My SIL dated him in high school. So we go to the party she LOVES me. Then the following weekend my SIL and I walk over to her house because DH is there working. I walk in meet him he calls me the next day to go on a date the following weekend. Thats it.
Here we are at his work party when we were still dating. he no longer has the mustache.
Clancy and I met at a bar in Anchorage. This particular bar has 7 different bars all connected together in one building, so they have a dance club area, a place to sit and talk, a place for live music, a Russian decorated bar, an area to play pool, a bar called the birdhouse that is a perfect rebuild of a smaller bar (now torn down) that was damaged in the 1964 earthquake (this bar has a very slanted counter), and a swing bar, that no longer plays swing music. This bar has had shootings in the parking lot, though they are few and far between. We met swing dancing there. We were friends first, then went out on a couple of dates and both left with the impression that the other wasn't interested. Six months later I got up the courage to ask him out again. That was 2/3/04. We were married on 5/6/07 and were pregnant on 8/9/10.
After Clancy went for an 8 mile run on New Years Eve.

JUST finished annotating Richard III for my Shakespeare class, and the murder of the children extra-traumatized me this time since I'm a mom, so I'm Bumping for a sec before doing more prep-work.
I just wanted to say I LOVE everyone's stories, and everyone and their SOs are *so* cute! We have the best-looking "Mom" board around :-)
We met this one time, at band camp. No, really.Yes, I played the flute, and no, I didn't do THAT.
I was 16, he was 17, and we both went to CSU music camp. My roommate knew him and introduced us. We were like the celebrity couple of the camp, everyone knew who we were because the orchestra teacher drew some stick figures on the board that were supposed to be us holding hands (I wasn't in orchestra, but I was in the same room the next hour). I so wish I had a picture of that chalkboard, but alas, it was in the days before camera phones.
I don't have any pics of us from then on any computers (seriously, digital cameras were not that prevalent yet!) but here's one from when we were first married I think we were 22 and 23 in this picture):

I LOVE this story!! So many of my friends met their SO at camp. I would LOVE to know what camp you worked at.
I did not meet DH. But because I was working round the clock at a camp in the middle of nowhere Texas and I realized that I was so busy that A) I had made myself sick and I was never going to make any friends/ meet anyone I joined eharmony for and dh was the 3rd person I went out with. Our first date went well into the night. DH thought it was still early because instead of looking at a clock he was looking out the window (which had a street lamp near it) We ended up closing the bar that we went to after dinner and then pretty much became inseperable.
On the schoolbus in kindergarten. He was in 2nd grade. I told my BFF when I was in 7th grade I was going to marry him. The summer between middle and high school, we started going on walks together everyday, by October he officially asked me out. When he moved to Walla Walla for college, he realized that even 4 days without me was too many. He came home every weekend (6 hours each way driving) for the next two years. He asked me to marry him on Valentines of my senior year. Everyone thought I was KU, but we were just in love. We've been married now 8 years, together for 12.

I don't post here much, but I just couldn't resist this topic. I love hearing how everyone has met their spouses!
Dh and I met at a homeschool get together when i was 13 (dh was 15). It was a once a month thing for everyone to hang out and get to know each other. We went around the room introducing ourselves to everyone. Dh says from the moment I stood up and said my name he never forgot it because I was so beautiful. I, on the other hand, didn't remember his name for another 6 months. Sadly, we traveled the same circles of friends, so I had no excuse.
We started dating for the first time when I was 14, but that ended in disaster. By that time in my life I was already involved in a volatile relationship with a guy who walked in and out of my life and I had a habit of dropping everything for him when he did. Dh and I tried to stay friends through the next few years, but I continued to make mistakes that, unknowing to me, hurt him quite a bit. after a while, he gave up and our lives continued down their disaster ridden paths, occasionally entwining, but mostly very separate. Until one day, I got a phone call from him. He was "in the area" and wanted to stop by and "catch up". He never really left after that day... He was at my house 6 days a week from the moment he got off work until my mom kicked him out because she wanted to go to bed. we knew right then we'd get married some day. We started dating a few months later, got engaged at 17, married at 18, and I had DD just before my 20th birthday. and as they say, "the rest is history".
I don't have any of the older pics on the computer, but this one was taken about a month before we started dating when I was 16. (I miss my pink hair sometimes...)
I Bump from my phone 90% of the time, with a baby in my lap, so please excuse my bad format and poor spelling and/or punctuation.
