favorite store-bought appetizers?

Connor's first birthday party is a week from Sunday Indifferent It's in the middle of the afternoon so we're not having a meal. Other than cake/cupcakes I feel like I need to have a few appetizers. However, I don't want to put a lot of effort into anything (too busy!) so I'm looking for some easy, store-bought Sam's club-style options. What are your favorite go-to ready-made appetizers?  It's an IU basketball theme, although I'm not sure that really matters - I'll take anything easy!

  • Oh gosh!! I can't believe he's almost a year already!!

Hmmm I'll have to think about some ideas and get back to you. We really don't do a lot of appetizers. :(

  • I have served TGI Friday Chicken wraps. I think that's what they are called!? There is a dipping sauce that you make with them: Sour cream, salsa and dry ranch. I'm not sure what style your party is but you can also make a cheese dip with velveeta and a can of rotel in the crockpot. I make mine with sausage added but if your on a time crunch it will be good without. I love making appetizers but these are the ones that I can think of that you can make quickly.

  • I'm not much of a cook, so when I'm asked to bring an appetizer to something I usually stick with a veggie tray or I put a couple of packages of "Little Smokies" in the crock-pot with a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. They are always a big hit - I never have any left over. Good luck finding some good, easy ideas and Happy Birthday to your little guy!
  • I'm such a lazy hostess - I usually just cut up some fruit, veggies & hummus, and cheese, crackers and summer sausage.  If I have time, I'll throw something in the bread maker and serve bread chunks & spinach dip.  That's about as fancy as my appetizers ever get!

  • We LOVE Sabra's hummus and Stacy's pita chips.  Also Sam's club has fresh pico and guacamole that is delicious.

  • Sam's has a lot of great appetizers that you can just throw on a pan and heat up in a few minutes. My favorites are the mini quiches, minh egg rolls, and southwestern rolls. They also have deli spirals that you can just take out of the freezer and let thaw.

  • Thanks for all of the suggestions! Glad I'm not the only one who sometimes takes the store-bought route :)
