Pregnant after a Loss

ho-hum

Just need to vent a minute, hope that's alright.

This week has been super stressful.  We found out we were expecting 9 days ago, and on Monday I started spotting dark brown/dusty rose....Which is what happened during my last pregnancy, about 5 days after that we lost our LO.  So, in two days I will hit my milestone day and I hope to pass it without any red coming along, but it's hard to stay hopeful.

How are you all getting through this??  I felt like I was ready and this wouldn't be so nerve wracking, but I guess I was wrong.....

Thanks for the little vent Smile

  • I really don't have any advise, since I'm new to this too, just wanted to send you some ((hugs)) and hope that everything turns out fine!

  • Never had any spotting or bleeding with my loss (mmc at 9 w 5d). But with my current, very healthy pg, I had spotting for 2.5 weeks! From 5 w to 7.5 weeks. Hope you can rest a little. Sending you T&P !
  • The only reason I am not a nervous wreck right now is because I have an amazing doctor! She keeps testing my levels and is bringing me in next week to make sure we see the heartbeat at 6 weeks!

My OB told me that if I started spotting she wanted to check my progesterone levels again because they could have went down and just weren't enough to support the pg. But if they had gone down she would put me on progesterone pills. The corpus luteum produces progesterone for I believe the first 10 wks or so of pregnancy and if we have a deficiency, then we need to be monitered for it.

I hope some of that helped :) and if your afraid please call your doctor up!

Spotting is always terrifying, particularly when you are PGAL...but it doesn't always mean bad things.  I had spotting from 5.5-7w this pregnancy, and everything is still fine. (I also had some spotting right around my BFP that I thought was AF coming, but it turned into a BFP instead).

Hang in there, and sending T&P that it's just baby getting cozy in your ute.

This too!  I had tons more spotting with this pregnancy than with my loss. Don't loose hope, as hard as it is to believe sometimes it doesn't mean the end
