Mother's resting heart rate?

I just checked my blood pressure at the pharmacy because I was feeling dizzy and it was 125/68. My heart rate was only 53. I'm 6 or 7 weeks along.

I think my normal heart rate is between 50 and 55, however I thought it was supposed to go up during pregnancy.  This is my first pregnancy so I'm trying not to call the Dr. for every single question.  Any insight?

    That low.  Even not pregnant low.  You doctors have never said anything about it?

    Are you an athlete?  I am and I am usually at a 45-55 bpm resting.  If you aren't really cardiovascularly fit... I would wonder what is up.
