That is until this past Tuesday. He peed his pants at preschool, then again that afternoon at home. Then again yesterday morning and after nap. Then again this morning at preschool on the playground, after the teacher had tried two earlier times to get him to go on the potty and he insisted that he couldn't.
W.T.F.
Is this some kind of normal regression? Is he reacting to the new baby thing? He has been making a lot of baby sounds recently and told me he's pretending to be a baby. Could he really be making that kind of connection already though? The baby isn't even here yet!
I also thought maybe UTI? His teacher mentioned that he was making some weird noises when he was on the potty. But I was just at the doctor a couple weeks ago to check for that because he told me he had an ouchie when he went potty, but there was nothing wrong.
Anyone have any insight?
Re: What is this? (potty training related)
That would be my only guess. I was 4 1/2 when my sister was born, so a bit older than Leo, but I remember at the end of my mom's pregnancy I insisted on sleeping in the crib and drinking out of the bottles she'd bought for the baby. So maybe it's an attention thing, if there's been a lot of talk of baby around the house?
Could you maybe set up a big boy sticker chart, where he'd get a sticker at the end of each accident-free day? Or one at lunch for an accident-free morning and dinner if the afternoon goes well? Just a thought. Hope it's a quick phase.

Consider constipation. Stool in the rectum can greatly reduce the bladder size. I know Emily needs to poop today (it's been more than 2 days) and she's had 2 accidents after almost 2 weeks of no accidents wearning panties all day.
Constipation is actually an under diagnosed reason for nighttime bedwetting in older children too.
