Labor update...it's gross.

So, last night I posted about how I thought I might be in the beginning stages. Well, my contractions fizzled out around 9:30pm, and the spotting stopped completely well before that.

This morning, however, I had 3 strong contractions, went to the bathroom and when I wiped, noticed a TON of brownish-pink discharge (ew). I went into work for an hour or so to catch up on some stuff, went to the bathroom again, and had the most disgusting looking mucus-y, bloody thing come out of me! I am not sure if it was the rest of my plug or the start of my bloody show, but it was clear with dark red, veiny looking streaks. So gross! No painful contractions since then though so now I am just waiting...alot of BH's and some pressure every now and then, but no pain. I haven't called my OB because I'm not sure what they can do...probably just tell me to wait it out?

Either way, it was both gross and thrilling, lol! I hope this means he is on his way in the next few days.

I just had a doc appt this morning and I learned all about that! I think your OB would just tell you that things are happening just as they should and now you just have to wait it out. I was told I wouldn't actually need to contact my doctor unless my water broke and/or I started having contractions that were consistently 5 mins apart.

I have been impatient as well and now that things are coming out of my crotch I am feeling nervous and a little more patient than before, lol! Even though I am excited to meet our LO, of course.
