It hasn't ever come up really with anyone but my mom. I have done exchanges with other online groups not related to parenting. It is always fun -both to buy stuff & get ta fun box.
I met one of my very best IRL friend over the internet about 10 years ago. We were in a Yahoo Group for couponing in NC and discovered we lived close to each other and met at a store to shop and started talking & hanging out. Then we turned our excursions into family outings and our families get along as well. He was a preacher at a small church (he chose to leave about 4 months ago) but when he was there we used to occasionally go to services there (it was too far from our home for us to join and make it our regular church).

Marsam, you might be right lol. I've told people i'm in a mommy group (my other mommy friends are jealous) and i've also told people who have met Marsam that we met online. It's funny explaining to people that I met her online..it always leads to a dirty joke

Your siggy is to die for. Can't wait to see that cute little face on Saturday.
The gift exchange has only come up with DH and my mom (she helped me shop for the first one we did). My family knows that I'm an internet group of Jan11 mommies. I met my DH online, so none of this is weird to them at this point.
Re: Do you tell people...
Thats probably why he wouldn't stop smiling the entire night.
It all makes sense now, Rosie.
I also say my mom's group. With my split of friends here and in Nebraska, I think they all think I'm talking about friends in the other state.
