So we saw the regular OB and the high risk OB this week. The regular OB said all looked good and we heard babies heart on the doppler at around 158 bpm. The he explained that he was hoping my high risk appointment would show the IUD was still in the same place (cervix) or on its way out. Our best case scenario would be that the IUD comes out on its own. But second best case is that the IUD stays put. If it stays in my cervix there is almost no chance it will rupture the placenta since my placenta won't be all the way down there till WAY later.
The high risk appointment showed the IUD hadn't moved at all and we got to see our little wiggle worm moving all over the place. The high risk OB was MUCH nicer this time with no drilling in all the pessimistic news and even admitted it was totally possible that the IUD may fall out as my cervix straightens out at the end of the pregnancy.
Overall we are in good spirits about everything. Go back to finish all the NT scan stuff in 4 weeks.
Re: My IUD Pregnancy Update
Oh my gosh! I must have missed your introduction post. How scary. I'm so glad everything is going well and you got good news today.

What kind of IUD do you have? I got pregnant while using the Paragard but my doctor removed it (5 weeks) as soon as we found out my hcg levels were doubling and it was a viable pregnancy.
The high risk OB thinks a c section is our only option but she is a lil trigger happy with surgery stuff and thank goodness is not going to be the doctor delivering the baby.My regular OB says we can monitor up until we have no choice but to do a c section. The hope is that it will fall out as I dilate or that it will be easy enough to remove right before delivery since the risks of miscarraige are pretty much gone when I'm already delivering. If it doesn't come out or can't be removed we will have to have a c section.
I have the paragard. They attempted to remove it as soon as I found out I was pregnant and determined it wasn't tubal. That sucker was stuck though. I mean stuck to the point that the string snapped off while trying to remove it.
