I'm not sure who has the QOTD so I hope it's okay if I jump in.
1. What's the most fun activity that you've done with your LO to date?
2. What activity are you most looking forward to doing together when they get older?
ETA: Please feel free to correct my grammar on this. Funnest isn't a word right? So did I word the first sentence okay by saying "most fun"?
Re: QOTD: Fun activities
1. What's the most fun activity that you've done with your LO to date?
So far, I think taking DD to the pool. She loves the water and totally seems in her element so I like seeing her get that much enjoyment out of something. It's also something that I like to do so it's a nice activity to do together.
2. What activity are you most looking forward to doing together when they get older?
I cannot wait to take my girls to amusement parks. I have always loved amusement parks myself and I can't wait to take them one day and ride the rides with them.
1. We had such a fun day at Port Discovery (see post below paging me for more details). That's probably followed closely by the swimming lessons we're currently doing and going to the splash park across from our house last summer.
2. Going to Disney World. I cannot wait until we go in a few years.
1) most fun so far was probably water babies or going to the pumpkin patch. We actually had a great time the other afternoon just crawling around the back yard.
2) I am really looking forward to Disney and to traveling in general. I have a whole schedule of trips planned with LO for the next 10 years or so ranging from Dutch Wonderland to Disney to a family trip to London.
1. What's the most fun activity that you've done with your LO to date? I think the best one has been when we went to Cox Farms this past fall. She had so much fun and it was great to watch. Also, Reston Zoo has been a highlight.
2. What activity are you most looking forward to doing together when they get older?
I am looking forward to taking her on trips to places we love. We traveled a lot when I was a kid and I have great memories of that.
1. Probably the beach. I thought it might be stressful and a giant PITA to bring an infant/toddler to the beach, but it's generally been awesome. He enjoys it at least as much, if not more, than we do.
2. Ditto amusement parts! DH and I really like Kings Dominion and can't wait to make an annual pilgrimage. Also, I looovvved the National Children's Museum growing up, so I'm really excited for that to reopen.
1. Probably the water park we've taken him to the past two summers. Absolute heaven for him.
2. Camping, hiking, trips to National Parks, riding bikes
2. Swimming and going to the pool. I'm hoping he'll enjoy swimming and we can get a summer membership to a pool when he's a little older. I also can't wait to take him to the zoo.
1. Most fun: Tie between taking DD to Lancaster County before DS was born and anything that involves water (pool, beach). Although I'll tell you, my favorite moments with DD and DS are just the daily ones when someone says something funny or we all have a dance party.
2. I'm really looking forward to camping and hiking. I've gone on one long (7 mile) hike with DD since she was born nearly 3 years ago and while it was fun, it was exhausting and painful even with a carrier. I've decided that future long hikes will involve fully capable children. I love going on shorter walks in the woods with the kids now. It si so much fun to see what they notice and how they explore nature.
1. What's the most fun activity that you've done with your LO to date?
Hmmm...I am having a hard time with this one. I guess if I had to pick one, I would have to say Cox Farms--that is really an awesome time and I thought she was a great age for it.
2. What activity are you most looking forward to doing together when they get older?
Traveling, including camping, water parks, amusement parks, sightseeing, exploring.
1. The splash park is always a hit and then the pumpkin patch at Homestead - they love the hayride. Personally I love Halloween and Christmas since they are such fun holidays and I love sharing traditions like baking cookies and painting pumpkins with the girls.
2. Near term I am super looking forward to our Disney cruise. They are both going to be so excited to see the characters. In the future, taking them locally to the museums and then on vacation going new places and introducing them to new cities.
Re: grammar, yes, "most fun" is correct
1) Most fun activity to date: well, most fun for him, in that he is still talking about it months later, and was also super cheap--we took J on a bus ride to the nearest metro station, got on a train and rode up one stop, then took another bus home. He looooooved it (he also loves all things car/bus/train etc.). He is seriously still talking about it (plus it only cost like $5).
Other things he liked were going to the natural history museum (we went again last weekend), swimming at my dad's pool, and going to the zoo. ETA: also the pumpkin patch, especially since we got to do a hayride with a tractor.
2) Most looking forward to: taking swimming lessons, playing sports (well, this is DH's answer), taking him hiking on Sugarloaf Mountain, and more family trips to Maine.

Oh, that's funny because it reminds me of what has become our least fun thing in the past few months, which is trail hikes. Too big to enjoy the carrier, too little to want to walk the whole way. DH has started calling them "forced marches".
1. DD still talks about the White House (Easter Egg Roll) and Thomas, which were last April/May. She also loved the Pirate Ship pool at our AI in Cancun. But doing stuff at home, like dressing up and making cupcakes with MIL is really fun for her as well. Y'day, upon seeing the snow, she started dancing outside (I wished I had my camera!), it is really the little things.
For DS, he worships DD so anything where he gets to play with her.
2. Definitely future travel! without stroller, diaper bag!
We do not go far on our short hikes, think Great Falls, the Nature Center, Lake Accotink. DD will walk for about a mile before getting cranky and in the last month DS wants no part of the stroller or carrier and because he is one, he walks at a snail's pace and is easily distracted. Good times in the hiking department, good times.
this is tough!
1. so far my favorite thing to do with DS is play ball in the house - seriously. his face just lights up and he screeches with delight when we roll it back and forth, or when he pushes it and chases it around. Just his little smiles and belly laughs make it so fun.
2. i'm really, really, looking forward to travelling with DS. We have a trip planned with friends who have a son about 2 months older than DS and we're all going to the beach together - I can't wait to see how he reacts to it all.
