Moving over from 3T!

DH and I have been TTC since Sept 2010. I started out on the TTGP board and then moved to the TTTC board once my HSG showed that I have a blocked tube. We tried 3 IUI?s before moving onto IVF. We just underwent our first IVF cycle and I can?t believe I?m finally PREGNANT!!!

Today I had my third beta drawn so I thought I should go ahead and introduce myself. My beta results were?.#1 = 496, #2 = 1318, and #3 = 2190. I was a little nervous about that last beta result (because it didn?t double) but my RE assured me that she is looking for at least a 50% increase every other day, so I should be fine.

My first ultrasound is scheduled for Feb 16 and I can?t wait!! I will be 6 weeks and 2 days. For ladies who?ve already had an ultrasound around that time, could you see the flicker of the heartbeat? Did you hear it?

I had my 1st appt. at 6w5d and did see the heartbeat, but did not hear it.

Welcome to the board.

At my first u/s I was 5w6d and I could see the tiniest flicker of a heartbeat, but it was too soon to hear it! I heard it at my 2nd u/s which was 7w4d!

Congratulations and welcome to the board!! My first u/s was around the first time and we saw the hb but did not hear it.

Congrats! It would be too early to hear the heartbeat at that point (some u/s machines simulate the beats it picks up, but it's not really the heartbeat), but you may be able to see it. I had an u/s at 6w2days and we couldn't see it (the doctor warned me that it would likelybe too early, but they were checking on bleeding), but at a follow-up a couple of days later, there it was. It's usually visable past the 6.5 week mark, though some do see it earlier.

That's fantastic news, CONGRATS!!!! Great betas too.

I had my first U/S this week at 6wks 2dys and we were able to both see and hear the HB, it's the most amazing thing. Everyone's different though, so don't be discouraged if you don't hear or see it then.

Congrats and welcome!

No advice on the heartbeat as you and I are almost on the same timeline and with a very similar story (started Sept 2010 and IVF #1 BFP this month!)

Welcome and congrats! We were able to see an HB at 6w3d, but it can take up to 7w to show up, so don't lose hope if it isn't there yet when you have your u/s.
