Tylenol w Codiene

I had to go to the ER a couple days ago for severe pelvic/back pain. My OB was blowing me off so I couldn't take it anymore and went to ER..So ER dr. said my fibroid that is on the outside of my uterus next to my ovary is still growing and with blood flow to it..it is putting some pressure on my ovary (from uterus growing) and causing radiating pain to my back..ontop of that I was given amoxicillin for a sinus/ear infection. Dr. gave my Tyelneol with Codiene..It is in a Category C for pregnancy..just curious if anyone else had taken this med and if you had any problems during pregnancy with it?

    I've heard of a lot of people taking Tylenol w/ Codeine during pregnancy without any problems...

    The only risk that comes to mind is that in later pregnancy, if you take a lot of Codeine, the baby can end up born addicted and have withdrawals... But this is very unlikely to happen if you only take it when it's really needed and not for a very long period of time.

    Thanks..I am only 12 weeks and Dr. only gave me 15 and I have only been taking like 2 a day..the pain is worse in the morning and it wakes me up in the middle of the night so I take it before going to bed.

    With my last pregnancy I had pneumonia and coughed so much I tore my intercostal muscles.  I was given Tylenol with Codeine with no issues.
